POWER OF OBEDIENCE
Dear Brothers and Sisters Obedience does play an important role in our walk with God and in this lives journey.Children must Obey their parents,elders,Employees to their Employers,citizens to the Govt.,servant/bond servants to their Master,and Gods’ People to their GOD.There are so many reasons The WORD OF GOD emphasizes the importance of Obedience.
Yes it is very difficult at times to Obey in Everything but where there is a will there is a way.God is always there to help us and lead us,provided we involve HIM in every matter.
Even though we may have JESUS in our Heart but WORD OF GOD says(LORD JESUS CHRIST)that our Spirit,Soul(mind),Strength must Love The LORD-Matthew 22:37.We also know that LORD JESUS said that if we LOVE HIM we will then Obey HIM too.Our mind has to be renewed everyday by Meditating The WORD OF GOD.We will meditate more on the Power of Mind(thoughts) in the coming days God willing……
Meanwhile Let us continue to study what Bible The WORD OF THE LIVING GOD says regarding Obedience.
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth-Deut 28:1
Yes GOD will set You high above all nations if You obey the Lord with The help of The HOLY SPIRIT.
Deut 5:33 teaches us that GOD will Prosper us and Prolong our days in the Promised Land
1 John 3:21,22 teaches us that if we are Obedient to The Lord,without any condemnation we can Approach God with Greater Faith or Confidence and will Receive from HIM.
Joshua 1:8-Obedience to The WORD makes us Prosperous and Successful.
Acts 5:32 teaches us that HOLY SPIRIT is given to those who Obey LORD JESUS CHRIST
1 John 2:17 says that those who do the will of GOD will abide forever.
Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;-Ex 19:5
The above Promise is so beautiful.Yes we shall be God’s own possession in all the earth.
Jer 7:23 says Goodness of God will Follow us if we are Obedient
2 Cor 10:5 Teaches us that even our Thoughts have to captured to make them Obedient to CHRIST
1 PETER 1:2 states that we were Sanctified to be Obedient to CHRIST JESUS our LORD
Jer 26:13 states that even Gods’ decision changes if we are Obedient to HIM
Jer 38:20-The Prophet Jeremiah pleads to be Obedient to the LORD.
Isa 1:19 says that GOD will give us The Best of The Land to eat if we Obey our HEAVENLY FATHER.Best to eat has to meanings-
1)Natural Food to eat,the Best Healthy food
2)Spiritual food(Heavenly Manna)to Grow Spiritually i.e The WORD OF GOD WITH REVELATION.
MEDITATION BRINGS REVELATION AND REVELATION BRINGS MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Eph 6:1 commands the Children to Obey their parents in The LORD i.e The Teaching that they give according to The Guidance of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
With that there is an added Blessing that it will be well with those Obedient ones and will be Blessed with Long life.
Dear Friends there are situations when people have to decide(decisive)in their vital decisions for any situation.They don’t know what to do?Bible tells us ways to follow in those particular situations.Peter and John The Apostles of CHRIST JESUS were warned by those in opposition to the work of The Lord,they immediately answered(Acts 4:19)-
But Peter and John replied to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you and obey you rather than God, you must judge [for yourselves]”;-Amplified.
Yes it is better to first Pray,Listen to GOD and then Obey HIM rather than the world or the people of the world.
In Acts 5:29- Then Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men [we have no other choice].-Amplified
Amplified version beautifully depicts that Apostles including Peter stressed the Truth that The Apostles had no other choice but to OBEY JESUS in whose name they were preaching.
We think we cannot be Obedient to JESUS Fully as we are not Perfect.But what does the Bible tell us?
Matthew 5:48-
“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
The above are the Words of JESUS,if HE is a Perfect GOD and if HE Lives/Dwells in us then HE Expects us that we change from Glory to Glory and be Transformed into HIS Image and by and by HE will Perfect us.
Philp 3:12-The Words of St Paul-
Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
Yes we must Press on…to be Obedient unto the point of death like our Savior Lord JESUS CHRIST(Philip 2:8)-HOLY SPIRIT is Our Teacher,Helper,Friend,Father and Everything.So HE is able to help us in our weaknesses.HIS Strength is made Perfect in our Weaknesses.
Why Obedience?
1 Kings 2:3-“…Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go”
John 14:23-“…Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”-
The above verse clearly states that FATHER is Going to Pour(Shower)HIS LOVE on us at a Newer Level.GOD LOVES EVERYONE(JOHN 3:16),BUT the above verse shows THE LOVE OF GOD FOR THOSE who are OBEDIENT TO JESUS-FATHER IN HEAVEN AND JESUS WILL COME TO ABIDE WITH THEM.
Yes even Prosperity will follow those who are Obedient.

Yes it is True that as per Philip 2:8-Lord JESUS CHRIST was Obedient unto Death,still we HIS Children have a part in Obedience towards GOD.In 1 Sam 15 we clearly see Saul The King was Disobedient to the voice of GOD,Even though he was VICTORIOUS But still The distressing spirit came on him( 1Sam 16).
If we see the life of first Adam-He was clearly told by GOD THE FATHER not to eat the forbidden Fruit(Tree of Knowledge)-But we notice that as a result of disobedience of Eve and Adam the consequences were Eternal.
If we read The Life of Prophet Moses He was Faithful in all the household of God and He was the most Humble of all(Num 12:2-8)but just because of one disobedient act He was unable to reach The Promised Land during his lifetime.He prayed Twice but The Lord told him clearly HIS Verdict.
There are so many examples in Old Testament but what about the New Testament?
If we Read The New Testament Acts 4:19,5:29,32 clearly states that how Apostles new the Importance of being Obedient.John 14:23 Lord JESUS said-“Anyone who Loves me will Obey MY Teaching….”James 1:22-Commands us to do what The Word of God says.
Romans 5:19 gives us a Comparison of First Adam and The Second Adam.The Comparison between disobedience and Obedience.That how because of disobedience brought sin in whole mankind but How THE OBEDIENCE OF LORD JESUS CHRIST MADE US RIGHTEOUS.Hallelujah.
